The story
inkernationn’s work begins with a narrative. Each collection grows from emotions, memories, and political realities, translated into sketches, handwritten notes, and visual research. The message behind each piece is essential.
The “VERKEHRT” works reflect this approach: a knitted top wrapped asymmetrically, a puffer skirt inspired by Hungarian traditional clothing but worn “the wrong way,” and looks addressing how queer visibility is restricted under claims of “protecting children.” The collection critiques the contradictions and double standards of right-wing politics.
The next project revisits the role of the muse, exposing how women throughout history had their art and talent overlooked or taken from them. It speaks to the many female artists who remain forgotten today.
