The story
The Wildness is the jewellery practice of Stefania, an independent designer and maker based in London. Born in Sardinia, her work is deeply influenced by a childhood surrounded by wilderness, light, and a sense of mystery. Nature became her first source of inspiration, shaping a lifelong sensitivity to form, texture, and emotion.
Growing up between Sardinia and Umbria, Stefania was drawn to art, philosophy, and sculpture. Her fascination with marble and bronze, and with how matter can hold expression and life, led naturally to jewellery as a sculptural medium. Wax carving became central to her process, allowing ideas to move from instinct and drawing into tangible form.
After years of self-directed experimentation, formal training, and eight years working as a jeweller, The Wildness was founded in 2010. Each piece reflects an ongoing dialogue between art and nature — influenced by Baroque, dark, and dramatic aesthetics — and shaped by a belief that jewellery can hold emotion, memory, and meaning.
The Wildness creates silver objects as intimate sculptures, worn close to the body, carrying traces of the maker’s journey and the wearer’s own.
